QR code feature was causing data aborts/invalid instructions if the data in the QR code wasn't a properly formatted 3DSThemes™ QR code. This might lead someone to believe that Erman was actually putting code in the QR code, to be run on the 3DS side. It would certainly explain why making your own QR code with a link to the theme doesn't work.

It usually takes months to find new exploits for newer firmwares and believe me finding kernel exploits right now seems impossible for me.
